winter is wearing on me already so I needed to get out and fish..and I found them. If you dont mind the cold there are a few rivers in Mass that have a ton of trout in them still. went out with my brother on three nice days is the past 2 weeks and landed 67 brouwn trout all on ultra light spin. To find these fish it takes some hiking but if you find the slow water and there may only be a few breaks in the ice but if you take your time low and slow you can hit some nice fish. I LOVE THE MILLERS RIVER.

Well sometimes the trout aren't always hungry or aggressive with food, but I am usually catching trout year-round. They are cold water fish so even if there is snow on the ground and the water is freezing, no problem. Honestly I have actually caught most of my trout around 2pm on a warm summer day. But I also go to another lake around sun set when the weather is clear, use orange power bait and I have caught huge rainbows.I have even caught trout off of chewed bubble gum and regular white marshmallows. I think anything you can get this time of year is a "good one". Not sure why exactly but I personally have not done a lot of trout fishing but it would certainly break the monotany of a NE winter....the picture above is what I'd rather spend time chasing, even if I didn't get one, that fish means warm sun, warm water and blue seas..... :-) Nice fish!
